Ocean Luo's design is a testament to the rich literary history of China, where the moon has been a significant symbol in numerous masterpieces. The design of the sales center is a modern interpretation of this symbol, presenting an image that seamlessly combines the classical charm with the contemporary lifestyle. The materials chosen for the project, including Terrazzo, gradient glass, lego board, and wood finish, contribute to creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the bright moon shining over the sea.
The design process was guided by a respect for nature, with all materials and elements chosen to evoke a quiet mood. The light color palette and large surface processing were used to reflect the moon in the sky, expressing a symbiosis of land and water under the moonlight. The sales center, spanning 600 square meters, is a testament to this design philosophy.
Modern architectural design language is integrated into the project through techniques such as folding, cutting, and stretching. The rational combination of color blocks from shallow to deep, along with the progressive layers, creates a pure and elegant space atmosphere. The light beams under the slanting ceiling flowers are flexible and changeable, adding to the overall aesthetic of the space.
The project, which started in December 2018 in Guangzhou and was completed in June 2019 in Shenzhen, faced several challenges. The selection of elements was a crucial part of the scheme. The model area forgoes the usual prosperity and opts for a pulsating wooden grille, which intersects vertically and horizontally to maximize the connection between man and nature, resulting in a space that is both independent and integrated.
Throughout the design process, Ocean Luo aimed to convey the aesthetics of modern life and the concept of art to the audience. The result is a design that redefines the relationship between the moon and modern life, creating an art-museum-like sales center that is a testament to the designer's ability to blend tradition and modernity. The design was recognized with the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020, a testament to its outstanding and trendsetting creation.
